Sweet Foreclosure Prices

So we finally found our piece of paradise and purchased one of the Hilton Head foreclosures that were available. We did end up looking at many, many properties and were pretty much tired of looking when we found this one. I’m glad we delayed though because buying one of the Hilton Head foreclosures meant we saved a bundle of money on the property. I can already see mega dollar signs for the profit we’ll make when we sell.

This is such a great time to buy what with interest rates being lower than they’ve ever been in the past 60 years and people dropping their prices below appraisal values. But the Hilton Head foreclosures are priced even lower than that because banks and mortgages companies are just trying to get their money back.

I have mixed feelings about the whole ordeal. It’s never a good thing when people are over extended and lose their homes and so many trusted the banks to determine if they could afford the home when they applied for their mortgages initially. But life does happen and people lose their jobs or get divorced and just can’t afford the payments eventually, I suppose. Then with the economy being as it is, many people are unable to sell their homes themselves. Eventually they give up, I’m guessing, and just let the bank foreclose on the property.

We're Moving to Hilton Head Island

We've been dreaming of island living and looking at Hilton Head Island real estate for sale lately. We've been interested in moving to the Hilton Head area for some time now but haven't found the right type of Hilton Head Island real estate for sale yet. There is a whole lot of beautiful Hilton Head Island real estate for sale though I can assure you that.

Hilton Head, located in the southern-eastern part of Carolina, has been our preferred vacation destination each and every year since we've been married but we've finally decided to take the plunge and move there full time. No matter how many times we go back we never seem to get tired of it.

Hilton Head has 14 miles of attractive beaches. There are about 20 golf courses, tennis courts and numerous eating establishments from casual to fine dining. The climate on Hilton Head Island is semi-tropical and feels awesome, especially in the winter time. The island is about 12 miles long and 5 miles wide and is regarded as the 2nd largest barrier island on the east coast of the United States. We enjoy many activities like golfing, swimming, horseback riding and walking on the beach together.

There are quite a few beaches for such a small island, but we have found that two of the best for families are Driessen Beach and Islander Beach Park. Driessen has the most amenities of all the area beaches, including a boardwalk, pavilion, playground, and easy to find metered parking. Both of these beaches are great places to catch some sun, build sandcastles, and play in the ocean waves.

This is one place where the location and beauty will surely blow your expectations right out of the water. We received great service from West Indies real estate when we decided that the Dominican Republic was going to be our new retirement destination. Their knowledgeable staff showed us many breath taking properties.

We traveled through several neighborhoods and along the coast viewing beautiful oceanfront and ocean view property. We really enjoyed the condos, villas, town houses located all over the island. We loved that we had options of oceanfront property as well as little villas sitting in a country setting. It was the best of both worlds here. If you're serious about Dominican Republic real estate, let West Indies take care of all your needs.
